Connor Hanley is a seasoned aviation professional with a robust career spanning both flight instruction and commercial airline operations. He began his aviation journey in 2014 and earned his Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certificate in 2017. Demonstrating exceptional skill and dedication, he achieved the prestigious Gold Seal CFI award in 2019. Later that year, Connor transitioned into commercial aviation, joining CommuteAir as a First Officer and subsequently advancing to Captain.
In 2019, Connor furthered his career by joining United Airlines, initially operating the Boeing 756, and later transitioning to the 737, where he currently serves as a Captain. Throughout his career, he has amassed a wealth of knowledge and experience, holding an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate, as well as additional instructional ratings, including CFI, CFII, MEI, AGI, and IGI.

He began his aviation career in Alaska, flying backcountry aircraft in some of the most rugged and challenging environments, where he honed his skills and developed a deep understanding of flying in remote, often unforgiving conditions. With an impressive 40,000 flight hours, Kevin is type-rated in nearly every Boeing aircraft, showcasing his adaptability and deep knowledge of various aircraft systems and operations. In addition to his commercial flying career, Kevin is a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument (CFII), and Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI), further solidifying his qualifications as an educator and mentor in aviation. Now retired, Kevin’s legacy as a skilled and dependable captain continues to inspire aspiring pilots and aviation enthusiasts alike.
